Small x behavior of the slope d ln F 2 / d ln ( 1 / x ) in the framework of perturbative QCD

چکیده
Using an analytical parameterization for the behavior of the x slope of the structure function F2 at small x in perturbative QCD, at the leading twist approximation of the Wilson operator product expansion, and applying a flat initial condition in the DGLAP evolution equations, we found very good agreement with new precise deep inelastic scattering experimental data from HERA. Theoretical Aspects of HERA Physics
We discuss the theoretical underpinnings for the extraordinary success of perturbative QCD in the description of HERA data. In particular, we examine recent progress in the understanding of perturbative QCD at small x. We explain the relation between evolution equations in Q2 and x, and how they can be used for simultaneous resummation of the relevant large logs at HERA. We show that while the ...
متن کاملConstraining the free parameter of the high parton density effects
The high parton density effects are strongly dependent of the spatial gluon distribution within the proton, with radius R, which cannot be derived from perturbative QCD. In this paper we assume that the unitarity corrections are present in the HERA kinematical region and constrain the value of R using the data for the proton structure function and its slope. We obtain that the gluons are not di...

Measurements of the proton structure function F2 for 0:11 < Q 2 < 20000 GeV 2 and 1:2 10 5 < x < 0:65 from ZEUS 1994-1997 measurements are presented. From ZEUS 1994 and 1995 F2 data the slopes dF2=d lnQ 2 at xed x and d ln F2=d ln(1=x) for x < 0:01 at xed Q 2 are derived. For the latter E665 data are also used. The transition region in Q2 is explored using the simplest non-perturbative models a...
متن کاملA unified BFKL and GLAP description of F 2 data
We argue that the use of the universal unintegrated gluon distribution and the k T (or high energy) factorization theorem provides the natural framework for describing observ-ables at small x. We introduce a coupled pair of evolution equations for the unintegrated gluon distribution and the sea quark distribution which incorporate both the resummed leading ln(1/x) BFKL contributions and the res...

In the framework of analytic approach to QCD, which has been recently intensively developed, the dependence of nonperturbative contributions in a running coupling of strong interaction on initial perturbative approximation to 3-loop order is studied. The nonperturbative contributions are obtained in an explicit form. In the ultraviolet region they are shown to be represented in the form of the ...
